Introduction This instruction manual contains the description, technical data and instructions for installation, startup and maintenance of the pneumatic actuators PA @0 and PA 20 for ball valves type 220227. Warnings: Any work done on the actuator may only be carried out by authorized and trained personnel. [. . . ] Installation of Supplementary Modular Components The pneumatic actuators PA @0 and PA 20 are equipped with fastening points for the installation of various supplementary modular components. A power plug is used for electrical connections for standard versions. The explosionproof version is equipped with a connecting cable 2 meters in length and 3 x 0. 75 mm 2 in cross-section. The modular components are prepared for installation; the electric wires are cut to length and ready to use. How to install and wire the components is illustrated on the following pages. 52 GEORGE FISCHER . . . 6. @ Auxiliary Switches The installation procedure is the same for all versions. q Unscrew the transparent cover and remove the fastening screws for the disk (postional indicator) q Install the switch in its position q Place the camshaft with switching cams on the disk and tighten the screws slightly q Adjust the camshaft using the eccentric bore so that the cams operate the switches properly even outside the end position q Tighten the camshaft screw firmly q Put the actuator in the «open» position and turn the lower switching cam counterclockwise to the switch lever q Put the actuator in the «closed» position and turn the upper cam clockwise to the switch lever q Install O-rings, housing and transparent cover q Use a 4-pole plug for the electrical connection 1 2 3 4 5 6 Camshaft Switching cams Limit switch «closed» Limit switch «open» Power plug Fastening position for additional auxiliary switches or potentiometer GEORGE FISCHER . . . 53 6. @. @ Mechanical Auxiliary Switches Description Kit with 2 additional auxiliary switches Kit with 2 additional auxiliary switches with gold contacts Kit with 2 additional auxiliary switches EExd II CT6 Technical Data 250 V, @0 A 430 V= @@00 mA 250 V, 5 A Code 199 190 131 199 190 134 199 190 135 Wiring Diagram Close Open @99 @90 @31 @99 @90 @34 14 2 14 2 Close @99 @90 @35 Open black white black red white brown green 3 2 1 Both switches are pre-soldered for closing. Standard versions of the PA @0 and PA 20 actuators have a mechanical rotation limited to 90°. In the case of assembly by the customer or after repairs, adjustments (e. g. of accessories) must be done and checked according to these instructions. Maintenance The PA @0/PA 20 pneumatic actuators have low maintenance.
